"Soundbox is neither dictionary nor game, it is instead constructed in the spirit of a toy, a digital equivalent to the building blocks and modelling clay of our early childhood. When the toy box is first opened only the possibility of the many wondrous things one can make is present. The more you play with each one, the more aware you become of its systems, forces and subtle properties.

And like growing seeds or the frothy concoctions of a chemistry set, a computer's processing power and memory can allow nature's programming to be plundered and bring us yet more delights as we watch our plantings and creations unfurl."

Soundbox is available for purchase from The Showroom Box Office at £15. Julian will present this project at the Digital Space presentation on Saturday 8th April 2-6pm
