Chris Watson & Jon Wozencroft Performance>>

"I've just performed 2 tracks for Lovebytes; they're both tracks from my new CD. Both tracks are about the weather, what I tried to do was time compress the sounds of the weather into 18 minutes. I've not played in a cinema before but I have played in a theatre. I think it's nice that we can sit down in a comfy seat with a wrap around sound system and I think it makes a difference to having an out front PA. I've played a few art festivals, San Francisco a few years ago and one or two pieces in Sweden, more installation type pieces. I normally don't have visuals but when I got asked to do this I thought of bringing Jon in. Jon had heard the material, it's not been released yet but I sent Jon mixes of it so he could prepare some stuff. He got a few students up as well from RCA to help him"

COMMENTS

"I saw the CD rom from last year, I've been meaning to come to Lovebytes for a long time. Here for whole thing. got a CD from warp record stores. I've got jons book too so that was a big draw for me, the to combined was very interesting, was to good to miss I thought the way the sounds were constructed were very musical against the backdrop of the images and it came together very well for me, I want it on DVD, I want a copy!"Martin Lee SYorks Police

"I've know of chris's work since he was in cv from the late 70's and jons work through his label touch since the 80's and to see them working together tonight was beautiful. I've seen a few things today and everything I've seen has been great, it's a really good festival" Barry, film maker, Northhampton
