1. AUDIO ART
Funded by Yorkshire Arts
Applications up to £3000
This fund is for innovative digital sound based projects that address one or more of the following areas:

• Installation
• Generative performance / installation
• Software or sound based interactive multimedia
• Performance
• Original audio recording

2. EXPERIMENTAL DIGITAL VIDEO AND INTERACTIVE ANIMATION
Funded by the Film Council and Yorkshire Media Production Agency, with support from the European Regional Development Fund.
Applications up to £9000
This fund is for digital video projects which address one or more of the following areas:

• Short films with a maximum running time of 10 minutes
• Use of digital video formats in innovative and creative ways
• Digital post-production
• Special effects
• Animation
• Computer graphics
• Moving image montage
• Interactive navigation
• Non-linear sequencing
• Distribution via the internet or consumer level formats such as Compact Disc media (including CD ROM, DVD, VCD, Super CD) or a combination of these

3. MULTIMEDIA INSTALLATION
Funded by Yorkshire Media Production Agency, with support from the European Regional Development Fund.
Applications up to £4000
This fund is for multimedia installations that address one or more of the following areas:

• Cross media experimentation using tele-visual imagery
• Innovative use of physical environment
• Real-time generated video and graphics
• Interactive installations for galleries or publicly accessible spaces. We have identified a number of potential sites please email: info@lovebytes.org.uk for specifics

4. PUBLICATION
Applications up to £4000
This fund is for the creation and publication of a number of disc based works that will be distributed together as a package to include projects that address one or more of the following areas:

• Innovative ideas for multimedia publications for distribution in consumer level digital formats
• Innovative creative media software applications and generative pieces
• Work which combines and contrasts the single user and public exhibition environments
• Works which address the relationship between physical and virtual environments
• Commentary and writing / visual essays addressing digital formats, culture and communication

5. DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS
Funded by Yorkshire Media Production Agency, with support from the European Regional Development Fund.
Applications up to £2000

Lovebytes Ideas Lab will provide Development Funding supporting new ideas in all the above categories. It may be that you are not ready to take the project into production but need to research ideas, to develop new techniques or distribution models, explore production methods, write a script or need time to develop a pilot.
