Purgatory Point Building
Originally designed by Hawksmoor this early victorian building bears the inscription "The rage, the cutting fury was all there, I knew the dark candles were blazing, with their strange light, but I was excluded.Ê It was no longer a sanctuary, that I could sit and breathe in quietly and feel there was somewhere I was safe. My inside place had shut me out and left me outside in the dangerous inconsequential world." in the eaves.Ê With its gothic overtones complete with carvings and a gargolye it overshadows the immediate area with its dark impression.
